ABARTH is an Italian car manufacturer founded on 31 March 1949 by Italo-Austrian engineer Carlo Abarth and racing driver Guido Scagliarini. It achieved international fame thanks to the Abarth muffler, which was lined with glass wool to enhance performance and create an unmistakable rumble.
In 1971, the company was bought by FIAT which led to the production of legendary cars such as the A112 Abarth. The company set countless records but it is impossible not to mention the Abarth 1000 Pininfarina, which broke eight global records including land speed in a 12-hour trial with an average speed of 203,656 km/h.
